Getting to know our people and communities via our engagement work

The Surrey Heartlands Engagement Team visit groups and organisations all over Surrey to gather people’s views, gain feedback on their experiences of local NHS services and to link in with partner organisations.

If you have any ideas or suggestions for future engagement work that we can get involved with, please contact us.

You'll find some examples of what we have heard and the actions we have taken on this page.

Our work across Surrey

Supporting adults with life-limiting conditions

February 2023

The Brigitte Trust support adults who are living with life-limiting conditions, and their carers in Surrey. They told us that they would like support in raising awareness in Primary Care of the services offered.

We supported The Brigitte Trust by including information about their services in our Primary Care e-newsletter which is shared with GPs and practice managers across Surrey Heartlands.

Speaking up for change in Surrey

March 2023

The Patient's Association, a charity who listens to patients and speaks up for change, asked us to support them in disseminating their patient survey questionnaire.

We sent the survey out to some of our contact lists and the Patient's Association received 587 survey responses from the link we shared.  They confirmed that this was the largest uptake for any system surveyed.

The findings from the survey are available on the Patients Association website.
