Audiology services return to Dorking Community Hospital
Following the move of the audiology service from Dorking Community Hospital to Kingston Hospital earlier this year, NHS Surrey Heartlands is pleased to announce that the service is returning to Dorking Community Hospital under a new contract arrangement.
Jack Wagstaff, Executive Director for Strategic Commissioning at the ICB said:
Ever since the service had to relocate to Kingston, we have been working proactively with Kingston & Richmond NHS Foundation Trust and other local partners to find an alternative provider to deliver this important service locally. We are pleased to update that, from Monday 17th November 2025, the service will once again be provided from Dorking Community Hospital.
The service will be provided by Dorking Healthcare in partnership with First Community Health and Care (a local NHS community healthcare provider including hearing / audiology services). All patients registered with the service should have received direct communication about the new service.
Jack added:
We recognise the difficulties experienced by patients with longer travel times to Kingston and would like to thank people for their understanding over the past months.
There will be a phased transfer to ensure a smooth transition to new arrangements, with the service formally starting from Monday 17th November.
